All Quakertown Borough employees carry picture identification and with the exception of the meter readers, all of our employees drive marked Borough vehicles. Residents wishing to verify employment of anyone claiming to be a Borough employee, should call Borough Hall.

| The Borough owns and operates the Quakertown Wastewater Treatment Plant located in the southeastern section of the Borough. All of the Borough's sewage flow is treated at this plant as well as sewage from Richland Township. The Borough Wastewater Plant complies with all state and federal regulations for water treatment. The Borough's state permit allows the plant to treat up to 3.1 million gallons per day. The current flow has averaged approximately 2.45 million gallons per day. The Borough owns and maintains all of the collection lines in the Borough. Also the Borough accepts sewage from the Borough, and from the Bucks County Water Sewer Authority system, which collects all of the public waste from Richland Township and Richlandtown Borough.
The Borough sewer rates are based on a customer's water consumption, even if the customer has a private well. Conserving water is good for the environment and can save money on water and sewer bills. |
