The Quakertown Pool and new Blue Water Cafe will open on Sat. May 24. Special opening day admission is $1.00 for everyone.





Quakertown Borough has a very large and extensive park system and recreation facilities. Memorial Park, on the north and south sides of Mill Street has pavilions, a baseball stadium, basketball courts, tennis courts, a jogging path, a bicycle path, a skating pond, and a public swimming pool. Various athletic organizations run and organize leagues on Borough fields. Click on the Youth, Sports navigation bar for a list. Main Street Park is on the southern end of Main Street and provides basketball courts, a softball field and a skate park. Cedar Grove Park is at the western end of the Borough off of Roan Tree Drive and has basketball/street hockey courts and a playground. The pavilions in Memorial Park can be reserved. It is $50.00 for Borough residents to reserve each pavilion and non-borough residents can rent each pavilion for $75. Reservations are taken after January 1st and can be made in the utility office. Call the Utility office at 215-536-5001 for more information. No alcohol is permitted on Borough property.

Quakertown Pool
Both Borough residents and non-residents can purchase season passes to the Quakertown Pool. You must actually live in the Borough to qualify for in-town rates. If you are unsure whether your address is in the Borough, call the Utility Office at 215-536-5001.

Swimming lessons are given at the pool by the YMCA. A pool pass is required to register for the lessons.

A Concert in the Park Series
is offered for six Sunday evenings in July and August. Sponsors for the series in addition to the Borough are: Harleysville National Bank and The American Legion Post 242. Benefactors are The Morning Call, The Quakertown National Bank, Harris Brothers Buick Olds and St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. Contributors are National Penn Bank, Fibermark, and First Union National Bank. All concerts are held in Memorial Park at 6:30 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the concerts are moved to the high school auditorium.

Schedules for the summer series become available in late spring.


"K.I.D.S." 6-13 Youth Recreation Program
The Quakertown Borough sponsors a recreational program for children ages 6—13 during June and July known as K.I.D.S.— Kids Involved Doing Something. Information and registration forms for this program are distributed in Borough elementary schools and are available at Borough Hall in early June.
