The Borough of Quakertown is governed by a Council–Manager form of government. The council consists of seven elected members who serve four-year terms. A Borough Manager, appointed by the Borough Council, runs the day-to-day operations of the Borough. Services provided by the Borough include police and fire protection, street maintenance, water, sewer, electricity, and recreation facilities including a swimming pool.

The Borough Council's regular meeting is usually held on the first Wednesday of each month. Council work session is normally the fourth Monday of the month. To confirm a date, please call the Manager's Office at 215-536-5001.Council Chambers are handicapped accessible. Arrangements can be made by calling the Borough Manager's Office.

The Borough Administration Building houses the Borough Manager's Office, the Utility Billing Department, Finance Department, the Office of the Fire Marshal, the Building & Zoning Office, and the Police Department.
